Single Stop exists to help the millions affected by food, housing, and economic instability. Studies completed by third-party corporations showcased that colleges that implemented Single Stop programs had significantly higher student persistence (continued enrollment or completion of higher education) in the consecutive subsequent semesters. Most notably, first-time college students who utilized Single Stop services were 9.6% more likely to persist than their peers. The Rand Corporation study was conducted for one academic year, while Metis Associates studied data over three and a half academic years.
