Single Stop directs the fifth largest VITA tax program in the country, providing free tax preparation to almost 15,000 low-income families each year.
Single Stop’s in-house tax program brings Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) services to our national network of partners and their communities. These critical services are completely free to the tax filer and are offered to individuals with a gross income of less than $66,000 per year. For many low-income and working families, tax refunds represent the largest influx of cash into their households each year.
