NEW YORK, Jan. 22, 2025 – Single Stop, the leading technology platform dedicated to connecting individuals and families with eligible public benefits, case management, and wrap-around support, today released its FY2024 Annual Impact Report. The report highlights how Single Stop’s leading basic assistance resource technology and direct support services helped connect 116,700 individuals to more than $698 million of public benefits and services in FY24 – the most in one year in Single Stop’s nearly two-decades.
“Single Stop now reaches every corner of the U.S. with more than two dozen benefits screened resulting in $698 million being unlocked for tens of thousands of families,” said Steven Williams, CEO, Single Stop. These milestones aren’t just numbers on a page; they are stories of lives improved, futures brightened, and communities empowered turning our vision of economic mobility into a reality for those facing barriers.”
Americans are facing escalating economic pressures—from rising utility bills to healthcare expenses—placing immense strain on individuals and families nationwide. At the same time, up to $140 billion in public benefits go unclaimed each year. To help bridge the gap, Single Stop forged strategic alliances and introduced technology solutions to its platform in FY24, including:
Today, Single Stop’s program reaches every corner of the United States with up to 26 benefits per state at a total average value of $20,200 of eligible benefits per household and provides access to over 300 categories of local community resources.
In just three years, Single Stop has grown the total value of eligible benefits unlocked by 78%, rising from $392 million in FY22 to $698 million in FY24. During the same period, the number of individuals served increased by 35%, from 87,400 to 116,700. These achievements underscore Single Stop’s ability to scale while driving transformative change in economic mobility.
Single Stop remained steadfast in its core mission: providing essential social support and resources to help individuals overcome barriers in food insecurity, education, tax preparation, and healthcare.
To further extend its impact in FY25, Single Stop aims to broaden the reach of its benefits screener to all 50 states, implement an AI assistant to offer more personalized client support during the benefits discovery journey, and enhance its reporting methodology.
